I'm sorry that it's been so long, but after seeing a list by the World Economic Forum about the top 10 overall skills for the year 2020, I've been doing some reflection.
I feel as though I have strengths when it comes to creativity and coordinating with others. I feel this way in regards to creativity, because now when I am presented with a challenge, I find myself considering multiple "outside-the-box" ideas of how to go about it. Such as when I went and took photos for Centric's "Day of Innovation" conference at Butler University back in October - all photo opportunities were laid out in front of me, given with some requirements, but the rest of the project was then at my own disposal. I had full control in my work and how each shot would be presented/made. (If you'd like, I have a full gallery page of photos from that day under the "Works of Mine" tab!) When it comes to coordinating with others, I am able to be very flexible and open minded! Using the same example of working oh photographing for Centric, I was required to work in all new environments, and be able to coordinate between speakers at the conference - as well as my main advisor for the day - Stefanie Krevins! This particular situation taught me how to properly get things done in an efficient manner, as well as be able to coordinate well with other adults in a larger working setting. From that experience, I am now more able to efficiently coordinate with all different types of people, and continue to build up these skills! Both of these strengths of mine are wonderful to have, no doubt, though I can easily say that I could certainly use better judgement/decision making and critical thinking skills. These two skills, luckily, go hand in hand - meaning that their improvements can be simultaneous! I'm planning to improve my critical thinking skills by analyzing more of the things that surround me in everyday life more consciously, and use that to make judgements and decisions more quickly. All in all, I'm excited to see where this leads me!
